3 Handy Sites to Help Find Manufacturer’s Reps

Since I’m currently helping my company identify manufacturer’s reps for a new product, I thought I’d pass this post along as a good resource for finding them. It has three great links to sites that appear to be pretty helpful.

Also, if you’ve got tips on how to find a good rep, what to look for, what to ask, etc., please leave comments.

  1. Brett,

Congratulations on your mission to find independent sales reps. You are correct, the link that you provided gives 3 good examples, however the article is from 2005.

RepHunter currently has over 15,000 Independent Reps on our database. We guarantee our Reps – we guarantee that they are 100% commission only & that they will communicate with you.

You can “Register” with us for FREE. You can also search our entire database, >find sales reps >by keyword, to see what we have available.

After you are done with the registration, you will see a tab labeled, “Training” This will give you Q & A on how to work with a Rep, plus the contracts that you would need.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

  2. Brenda – thanks for giving us the update. I’ll definitely have to check that out. It seems like a pretty robust, resourceful website.

  3. Circumstances, which we are unable to control, have necessitated that we no longer sell direct to the consumer, but rather work through manufacturers representatives. All sales, up to now, have been made by me personally. We have been in this business over twenty six years, sales have averaged over $1 million per year, in tangible goods, that range in price from under $7,500.00 to over $125,000.00. Our customer list reads like companies that belong almost exclusively to the Fortune 500 group.

Check out our website URL at http://www.recyclingscience.com/ and note that all of our systems are practically 100% stainless steel. They are also the lowest priced in the entire market. We plan to pay a straight commission of 15%, which, in dollars per sale, figures from $1,125.00 to over $18,750.00. Our present and potential customer base is practically endless. Air Line companies, Tool and Die companies, Automobile Dealers, Electric utilities, Gas utilities, Manufacturing plants of all types. The list goes on and on.

Can reps honestly say that none of their customers use any solvent. Ever see a Safety-Kleen truck? There are literally thousands of them and each one delivers clean solvents 5 days per week for 52 weeks per year. And each time they stop at one of these reps customers, they are collecting money that rightfully belongs to the rep !!
